Where does Kilele take place?
At The Mall, Nairobi, Kenya. Certain special performances, and off-site workshops will take place at nearby venues. Check the schedule for exact locations.

What ID do I need?
A valid student card or proof of alum status at Santuri East Africa will be needed for student tickets. Passport or other form of Government ID for anything else including East Africa Resident tickets.
What time does Kilele start?
Registration is open from 10:00 AM each day. Check the daily schedule for exact timings
How do I get there and where do I park?
The Mall is accessible by taxi, matatus, or private car. Paid parking is available on-site, but space is limited. Plan ahead to avoid delays during peak hours. For international guests, check our practical information page
Will everything happen at The Mall?
Most events, panels, and workshops will be at The Mall, Westlands, but certain special performances, and off-site workshops will take place at nearby venues. Check the schedule for exact locations.
Do I need to sign up to the workshops?
Most workshops are open on first come, first serve basis, but some require pre-registration: Bitwig, Boards to Beats, Ableton, Focusrite, Novation & ADAM Audio and Youth in conversation with Bizi Bingi
Where are the toilets located?
Restroom facilities are available throughout The Mall venue. Signage will guide you to all facilities.
Is there food and drink available?
Yes! The summit has food vendors, coffee spots, and bars throughout the venue. Some vendors may not accept cash, so bring a card or mobile money (MPESA)
What is not allowed at Kilele?

What languages are used at Kilele?
English is the primary language for talks and panels. Performances may include Swahili, local dialects, and other languages depending on the artist.
Can I rest or relax during the summit?
There are dedicated lounge areas and chill-out zones throughout the venue where you can recharge, socialize, or just take a break.
Is Kilele accessible for people with disabilities?
Kilele venues include wheelchair-accessible areas and toilets; staff are available to assist. If you encounter a barrier, tell us so we can address it and improve - you can always send a message to our Care Team (+254 768 226 199). Unfortunately, a system providing assistance for visually/sonically impaired guests is not yet implemented.

What do I do if I get lost?
You can always ask a member of staff or security for help and to point you in the right direction. Otherwise, at the Mall head to the registration desk in the basement, they should be able to help.
Will the event be recorded or photographed?
Yes, we will have official photographers, videographers and radio broadcasters on site. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform our Awareness Team or media crew, who will respect your choice. See full disclaimer in our Code of Conduct.
