We've been reflecting on running and release: soul wrenching running, running things, things running us, running hearts and running stomachs. Have you ever needed a toilet so bad that the meaning of life quite literally meant going to find release?
Have you ever tried to stop an idea whose time has just come? Are things really dire, here? We mean to say it: diarrhea. Verbal, visceral and maybe even the poetic passing of air.
Join Studio Panda-Shuka, weavers and tellers of stories and the All Turn Natives, makers and players of old-new instruments in this synergetic collaboration.
During this week of sound and solidarity, we will continue our exploration of a shift from oral storytelling (where music and sound sits in the background and the story is foregrounded) to aural storytelling (where music and sound and story are tangled into a dancefloor meditation).
Narrative structures will guide us in the curation of a semi-live DJ performance where deep listening, sonic composition and physicality of sound are honoured in this journey to reawaken wonder.
