Selina Onyando, also known as onyandos or selo, is a Nairobi-based DJ and visual artist whose sound is deeply rooted in her passion for African music and its global influence. selo’s DJ sets focus on introducing audiences to new and emerging sounds, particularly from Africa, through thoughtful curation.

A graduate of the Santuri Electronic Music Academy, selo’s love for curation extends beyond performance. Her artistry also includes a visual practice that captures everyday experiences, revealing overlooked or undiscovered perspectives—a theme that carries into her approach to music.

selo has collaborated with a range of notable organisations and artists, including Santuri Electronic Music East Africa, Monateng, Blinky Bill, Jägermeister Kenya, the Goethe-Institut, and Tangaza Magazine; performing at beloved venues including The Mist in Nairobi.
