muthoni mwangi [xe, they] is an artist researcher working at the intersection of African philosophies, cultural heritage and community development. They work mostly within the archives in attempts to deconstruct and decolonize systems of knowledge to better understand themselves. They are a writer, a poet, a zine maker and a novice textile artist. At Calotropis, muthoni contributes thru programming support and providing research insights. Xe has a radio show “Into the garden” and makes a poetry circle regularly “Sunday Scaries” with Grey Oletsa and Sharon Neema.
