Kampire

A key figure in East Africa’s electronic underground and a core member of Kampala’s Nyege Nyege collective, Kampire delivers bass-heavy, high-energy sets rooted in Ugandan party culture and built for global dancefloors.

Her Boiler Room set at Nyege Nyege Festival 2018 became a viral moment, cementing her international rise. Since then, she’s joined BBC Radio 1 as a Residency DJ, delivered a standout BBC Essential Mix, and continues to spotlight African and diasporic sounds through her NTS Radio residency.

In 2023, she curated “A Dancefloor in Ndola,” for Strut Records, an expansive celebration of East and Southern African music traditions, centering overlooked sounds and women pioneers. Beyond the decks, Kampire is a curator and community builder, reimagining nightlife through care, inclusion, and collective joy.
