RaFiiKi

RaFiiKi is a Nairobi based vocalist, artist, producer and DJ. More than anything she is a connector and teller of stories, textiles and sounds. Her music blends Swahili lyrics, heavy bass and field recordings, live electronics, and East African textures. She experiments with a range of sounds from Amapiano to Traditional to Reggae, R&B and HipHop.

Where RaFiiKi come from shapes what she makes. Nairobi is a city that's in constant motion, it mutates daily The shifts between stillness and movement, solitude and community, chaos and clarity, all shape the way RaFiiKi's music feels.

Outside her performance, she runs a creative house called SLICE OF THE EAST (SOTE) where we archive and reimagine East African culture through fashion and sound. That spirit of preservation and reinvention sits at the heart of my music.
